Business & Entrepreneurship
Lessons from building 4 businesses in DFW from nothing. No MBA, no investors, no safety net — just hard work and a willingness to figure it out.
How did Omar Jacobo become an entrepreneur?
I didn't go to business school. I didn't have a trust fund or a mentor with connections. Everything I know about business, I learned in the field — starting with building oil tanks across the southwest at age 21, then moving into HVAC, then launching my own companies.
In 2017, I started Frosty's Holiday Lighting LLC. In 2018, Mariafernanda and I launched Frosty's HVAC LLC. Then came Frosty Homes and Amor Property Manager. Four businesses, all built from the ground up in the DFW metroplex. The articles below share what I've learned along the way.
