Why is the outdoors important to Omar Jacobo?
Running four businesses, raising five kids, and staying sober requires balance. For me, that balance comes from being outdoors. Texas has incredible natural beauty — from the lakes around DFW to the hill country south of Austin to the wide-open spaces of West Texas.
Growing up in Palo Solo and then in urban Plano, I didn't have much exposure to nature as a kid. Discovering the outdoors as an adult has been one of the most rewarding parts of building this new life. It's where I think, plan, and reset.
